The clarity of your layout, straight-forward prose and solid information are so welcome vs. all the noise and clutter on the www.
I intend to use some of your advice re: Loosening Up…a real challenge for me.
The CLWAC would be lucky to have you create a blog-site for us. I’ve always thought our web-site is a bit stodgy-looking…a blog could make us a tad more 21st Century and appeal to artists who are.

Dear Anne,
Thank you very much for posting our group art show on your blog – that was very kind and generous of you. I am so happy that our paths have crossed in the art world because after taking your classes I feel I am finally getting closer to finding my own personal style.
I was so fortunate to have sold two paintings at the Tewskbury show even before the show opened. I believe that I can thank you for “loosing me up.”

thank you Val! and thanks for alerting me about those images not showing–it is a problem I sometimes have on WordPress, primarily when I post images via the URL link instead of uploading them to WordPress. If you get a chance, just let me know which image you do see so I can investigate further–if you don’t have time, don’t worry about it.

You are a real New Yorker! I like your stuff! Feel like I am there….(pining).
Have you ever done any rowers? There are new boathouses on the Arthur Kill and on the East River. People are getting on the water, again, after 80 years of loss of river frontage. My pet pieve.

I love the immediacy of your work, especially the cityscapes. You really give us a local New Yorker’s POV. Do you ever work with the figure? I occasionally model for figure classes, as well. I would love to get on your models list. Or at the least get the model coordinator’s name at the places you teach.

I realy want to learn to paint, though I don’t know which media will work for me. I have never tried paint anything, but want to learn for sure.
Do you have any workshops for a very very beginner (like me) during the weekends? I work fulltime and it’s difficult to take time off during week.
